Refund Policy
Last updated 2026-09-04
Lynder, a general partnership operated from California, USA ("Lynder," "we," "us," or "our")
- Effective date: 2026-09-04
- Last updated: 2026-09-04
If you are unhappy with Lynder, for any reason, email info@lynder.ai and ask for your money back. You do not have to justify yourself, you will not be put through a retention call, and there is no cancellation maze between you and a human. This page says exactly when we refund, exactly how much, and exactly how to ask, so that you can read it before you pay and know what you are getting.
This Policy supplements our Terms of Service and forms part of them. Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right you have by law.
The short version
| What you want to know | The answer |
|---|---|
| Window | 30 days from the charge you want back. |
| How to ask | One email to info@lynder.ai from the address on your account. One sentence is enough. |
| Our reply | Within 2 business days, from a person. |
| Where the money goes | Back to the card that paid, through Stripe. Your bank typically posts it in 5–10 business days. |
| Who decides | The cases in "Refunds we grant in full" below are granted, not considered. We do not ask you to prove anything. |
| Cost of asking | Nothing. Asking for a refund does not close your account, delete your data, or end your access before the period you paid for runs out. |
What you can actually be charged for
There is exactly one paid product, and one price.
- Free — permanent, no card, and no trial clock counting down. It watches up to 3 companies, sweeps hourly, files up to 15 applications a month on its own, and files 15 more from links you paste in yourself. If you never want to pay, you never have to — and nothing else on this page can apply to you, because you will never have been charged.
- Pro — $39.99 per month, billed monthly through Stripe. No annual plan, no lifetime plan, no setup fee, no per-application charge.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund. Cancelling stops the next charge and takes effect the moment you click it: Settings → Billing → Manage subscription opens the Stripe billing portal directly. You keep Pro until the month you have already paid for ends. If you also want the last charge back, this page is how.
Refunds we grant in full, without asking you to explain
Each of these is a refund of the full charge. Say which one applies and we will process it; we are not going to argue the point with you.
- You forgot to cancel and got charged for a month you did not use. Money back. "You did not use it" is a reason for the refund here, never a reason against one.
- It did not submit anything for you. Pressing submit on real application forms and reading the confirmation back is the only thing you are paying for. If it did not do that during the month you paid for, the month is refunded.
- What it produced was not good enough to send. Dissatisfaction with generated material — a cover letter, a tailored résumé, a drafted answer — is grounds for a refund here. Some tools in this category write the opposite sentence into their policies. We are telling you that ours says the reverse.
- It got something wrong on a real application — applied to something outside what you told it to look for, put a value on a form that was not yours, submitted the same application twice, or submitted without asking you while you had review-before-submit turned on. Tell us and take the money back; also see "If something went out that should not have" below.
- You were charged after you cancelled, or charged twice for the same month. Always refunded, and not counted against the 30-day window — a charge that should never have happened is refundable whenever you find it.
- You paid for Pro and then found your targets are not supported — the boards or forms you actually apply through turned out to be ones it cannot fill. That is our coverage gap, not your mistake.
Partial refunds and credits we grant
- Extended downtime. If Lynder was unavailable for multiple hours in a day, or on multiple days in a month, we credit that month in proportion, whether or not you asked.
- We were slow. If you emailed info@lynder.ai and it took us more than 2 business days to answer, tell us and we will credit part of the month.
- You cancelled mid-month and stopped using it. Ask, and we will refund the unused part of the month rather than keeping the whole of it.
What this policy does not cover — plainly, not buried
- Results. Lynder does not promise interviews, replies, or offers, and never has. A month in which employers did not write back is not, by itself, grounds for a refund. But "it did not do the work" — did not submit, or submitted something wrong — is grounds, and is covered in full above.
- Charges older than 30 days. Outside the window we are not committing in advance. Email us anyway: we read every one, and where the fault was ours we fix it regardless of the date.
- Accounts we terminated for the conduct listed in the Terms of Service — for example using Lynder to submit applications on someone else's behalf without their knowledge.
If something went out that should not have
Report it to info@lynder.ai and we will refund the charge and tell you exactly what happened: which application, what was on it, which of your stored answers supplied each value, and when. We do not treat a submission mistake as a support ticket to be closed; the money comes back and you get the record.
How to ask
- Email info@lynder.ai from the address on your Lynder account.
- Write one sentence. "I want a refund for this month" is a complete request. You may say why — it genuinely helps us — but you are never required to.
- We reply within 2 business days, from a person, with either the refund confirmation or a straight explanation of why it falls outside this page.
We will not respond to a refund request with a discount offer, a downgrade offer, a "before you go" survey, or a phone call.
Payment disputes
If a charge is covered by this Policy and we have not replied within 2 business days, you are entitled to dispute it with your bank, and we will not contest that dispute. We would much rather you had the money and a bad opinion of our response time than the reverse.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date above will change when we do. A change never applies backwards. The version of this page in effect on the day you were charged is the one that governs that charge, and archived versions are available on request.
